ideology, themes and other stuff like that

As can be seen in the full story of my film, there are many things going on which can all be thought of as representations of a specifically chosen set of themes and ideas, effectively summed up as the ideology of my film. now an ideology is 'a specific set of ideas and beliefs held by a person, institute or media construct'. therefore, from this definition, the following is the set of ideas and beliefs that are represented in my film.

1. the theme of identity - shown by the immortals ability to shape shift, refers to the ideological belief that its not what we look like on the surface but who we are beneath that is important.

2. the theme of destiny - shown by pretty much everything in the film, refers to the ideological belief that we all have parts to play in some way or another.

3. the theme of truthful emergence - shown by the way both jamie and caleb transform throughout the story into who they are truly meant to be, refers to the ideological belief that we are all constantly changing into different people.

4. the 'essence' of the film - this refers to an ideological point that is present throughout the entire story, which is the idea that the story of any film should at its heart be character driven and about the relationship between the characters and the situation. this isn't easily shown by the rough plot in my earlier post, but suffice to say my film is heavily about this, for example the difference between how caleb and jamie view the world through the eyes of their powers, and the difference in the relationships with others.
