so the basic idea is immortals trying to live a normal life. time to expand on that. okay here goes:
their are immortals living amongst us, otherwise normal people with an exceptional gift of eternal life and other worldly powers. except for them this gift is their greatest curse. no one knows how the immortals came about, how long there has been immortals or what the source of their immortality is. what is known is that the immortals only become aware of their immortality after a severe accident in which they loose their life. that is, until they wake up a few seconds after being killed. immortal powers include things like super strength, damage resistance, psychic abilities, and the ability to change their outward appearance and age, amongst others. yet despite these obvious enhancements the majority of the immortals seek to live as normal a live as possible. why? think about it. they have to watch everything the love and care for die and crumble into dust. what good are special powers if they cant give you what you really want. this mentality, as well as public response to their condition, means that most immortals try to keep themselves to themselves, using their ability to change their outward appearance to leap frog from identity to identity, living a secret ever lasting live throughout the course of history. of course their are exceptions to this rule, such as alexander the great and genghis khan etc.
so thats the expanded idea, and any story that springs forth will be based around this concept, either about the tragic story of a lone immortal or the tale of an ammbitous immortal who seeks to control the world and the forces trying to stop him. whatever. the point is all the stories will be about immortals trying to find their place and role in the world, which is basically a giant metaphor for the entire human experience.
