Although you could argue that the image anchors the two products, I am rather disappointed that you have simply used a screen grab from you movie for both products. It shows a lack of creativity and I personally would have liked something different on the front cover of the magazine - perhaps a photo of the actor himself for an exclusive interview? Have a think about it.
Apologies for a second comment, but I am not sure of your choice of font on the poster (or the trailer for that matter) as it is not easy to read and the contrast with the background is not great. Where do you think this poster would appear? If people were walking/driving past, would they be able to read it? I am not convinced. What about the placement of the poster - you don;t appear to have given that consideration - it doesn't appear to be for a billboard as most of them are produced in landscape format.
Admittedly the magazine cover needs some work and i have started to take the appropriate steps towards this. however, i feel that i must defend the choices i have made with my poster. it was designed for interior display and the font is integral to drawing in the audience's eye and getting across the mystical sense/connotation of the poster. I'm open to critisism of course, just i feel the poster really works well as is.
