characters and costumes

once agian this post is hampered by the fact that i have forgotten the camera with the pictures. despite this i can give a basic overveiw of what they look and a slighty better idea of how they act.



'the thing' - this is the previously mentioned creature and the focus of the story. it moves and lives in shadows; as such you rarely see any trace of it other then when its stalking prey (you) or killing its prey (you - sucks to be you.). this will be reflected by the use of camera when i shoot the film. you will only see glimpses of the creature as its jumps from place to place, seemlessly going from one spot to another in no time at all. the creature has the form of a man but little else. when on foot it moves with ungodly speed. like an animal it likes to stalk its victims but it enjoys sadiscticly toying with them as well. an interesting point is that it cant actually hurt you; it turns your on fear against you. unlike many movie monsters this one has a goal. it has been trapped in the forest for longer then an age and it yearns for freedom (dont get any ideas, its still all out evil). as to why its trapped in the forest is something that is not going to be revealed in this story line (mainly because i havent thought of it yet...). the only way for it to escape is to make someone so scared they kill themselves, which would allow it to claim the body. this explains why it never kills everyone when it has the chance, even though their fear had given it the strenght to take life. an intereting point is that while its clear the creature does kill, you never actually see the act or any bodies, only a blood stain and the signs of something that happened. why this is im not sure but is sounds cool so its going in. 'eva' - this is a minor character whose only purpose is to be killed during the opening stages of the story, which is to say my piece. in terms of back story she and her boyfriend where just camping when they got attacked. she is the typical female horror character, although she does show some signs of strenght. this doesnt matter though, as she still ends of dead. in the overall size of things she plays a part in the bigger part of the film. or at least the remains of her stuff do. muahahahaha. 'taylor' - this is the other minor character who plays a role in the begginning of the story. in terms of my piece, he is the main guy. although we never actually see him, his is the voice behind the camera and he is the one that is actually holding the camera that my piece is shown through. he is the boy freind of eva and upon being stalked by the creature, runs for his life through the forest. he is the last to be killed in my piece. (no pictures to follow as you dont actually see him. well maybe one out of respect to my friend but dont judge his clothes as because you dont see him i thought it appropriate not to design a costume for him.)
