movie beginning evaluation

any good movie person worth thier salt knows that most movies are made up of recycled ideas. truly original and uniqure movies are few and far between, and while i believe i have the ability (no big headed-ness here...) to do this it remains out of my grasp for this project. as such it is responsible of me to look at other horror films that have taken my interest. this will allow me to see what stuff works and what doesnt in these films, thus allowing me to take that experience and implement it into my own production.
now in science to get a fair result you repeat a test three times to get an average. it seems only fitting that i do the same with this. translated, this means i'm going to evaluate the beginnings of three films. now it has to be noted that my thing is only allowed to be two minuites long but the opening of almost all films rarely are that short. therefore i am simply going to watch the first scene of each film and base my evaluation from there. my three films are:

cloverfeild
